Latitude Margaritaville, active adult communities, is the latest investments in Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville portfolio developed by master developer Minto Communities and by the worldwide lifestyle brand Margaritaville. Providing resort-style facilities, Latitude Margaritaville is the perfect destination for those seeking to live the lifestyle of Margaritaville with their increasing age.
The communities will include a big pool, fitness activities, hobby, and game rooms, live entertainment, arts, and learning programs, beverage concepts, and signature Margaritaville food and much more. The “55-and-better” societies are developing in Hilton Head, SC, and Daytona Beach, FL with plans for a further place in Walton-Bay County in Northwest Florida along the Gulf of Mexico and some other of the country’s most admired destinations.
Fun Retirement Communities
The golden years are now looking brighter with the news that Jimmy Buffett is planning to start a series of wholesome, luxurious Margaritaville retirement home communities starting with Daytona Beach, Florida. Retirees will have the ability to live in heaven where the party never stops and ‘growing older although not up’ is encouraged.
The purchase price tag will begin in the low $200s, and furnished models are available to tour now.
Buffett, 70, has teamed with Margaritaville Holdings and developer Minto Communities. “It will be a very joyful place,” Bill Bullock, Minto Vice President reported to ABC News of this $1 billion project that’s expected to feature 7,000 two-and-three-bedroom houses.
“We expect our first residents to be living in the community by late summer of 2018.” Bullock declares that there have been over 10,000 registrants in the first two weeks of offers. The sales offices of the Daytona Beach and Hilton Head branches are now open.
This utopia assures retirees thrilling recreation, lap pools, fitness centers, spas, exceptional dining, and lively nightlife. Minto Communities has 60 years of experience creating award-winning communities and building quality homes for nearly over 80,000 families.

Paradise Recently Got A New Set of Coordinates
Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head is located on Highway 278, 2.5 miles east of I-95 from the town of Hardeeville, South Carolina – the attractive gateway to world-famous Hilton Head Island. The region is steeped in natural beauty, with plenty of golf courses, waterways for boating, pristine beaches, fishing, and kayaking. Nearby are the historic towns of Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC filled with museums, cultural arts, dining, and shopping.
The Newest Addition To The Line-Up
Watersound, the latest Margaritaville association would have 3,000 houses at starting, but the neighboring St. Joe’s Bay-Walton Sector Plan is eligible for up to 170,000. The size of this piece of property close to the waters was a reason this location was an attractive one, according to the William Bullock president of Latitude Margaritaville division of Minto.
Depending on the success we are observing in Daytona Beach and Hilton Head, we are very confident that the new Latitude Margaritaville Watersound has the power to expand to hundreds of new retirement homes, said Bullock.
Residents who shift into the projected Latitude Margaritaville Watersound in Bay County could have access to amenities like a resort-style pool, Fins Up fitness activities, live entertainment, hobby, and game rooms, arts and learning programs, beverage concepts and Margaritaville-themed food. Additional perks for residents would lie in the surrounding coastline.
“Those beaches are some of the best beaches in all the U.S.,” Bullock said. “It just has a great deal going for it, from a location perspective.” While there are no plans to involve a senior living provider but as the project evolves, these services are a natural improvement, he added.
Home costs would lie north of $230,000, with a monthly HOA payment for residents of about $250. Minto didn’t reveal the projected cost of growing and building the community.
Buffett was stated to have a total worth of $550 million as of 2016 and has been ranked No. 13 on Forbes first-ever collection of America’s Wealthiest Celebrities. His 2016 earnings alone complete an approximate $40.5 million.
His 1977 song hit, Margaritaville is the subject for his Orlando-based worldwide brand, Margaritaville Enterprises, which he set up in 2006. The song serves as the foundation for much of his eyesight and depicts a picture-perfect idyllic life in paradise. The traditional music reached No. 8 on the Billboard 100 and had been hailed as one of the most rewarding songs of all time.
Significantly like Jimmy Buffet himself, the Latitude Margaritaville communities are a hit with adults. Already, the brand’s food, fun, and music concept has gained interest from millions of retirees, Forbes announced last year. Minto has a record of over 130,000 interested individuals in the community.
Other communities, they might have one or two of these food, fun, and music components, but to genuinely get in all three and place it under an umbrella is exceptionally unique, Bullock told Senior Housing News. It is resonating with the purchaser, as evidenced up to now.
Together with that interest, it is natural to assume that there are more Latitude Margaritaville communities around the way though Bullock remained mum on exactly which markets Minto has its eye on next.
“I can tell you, most likely, it will be outside the Southeast United States ” he said. There are many cool locations if we announce, will, without doubt, resonate with why we preferred those locations.
